IS A VIDEOGRAPHER.


Zoe has been behind the camera almost as long as she’s been in front of it. 

After learning to talk and developing her childhood catchprase “thank you, take my picture, cheeeese.” Zoe stepted behind the camera with her own archival and creative process. Making youtube videos, working on documentation of live performance, and commericals, as well as her own shorts, documentary and narrative.   

In college, Zoe joined the archival and commercial branch of the California Institute of the Arts videography team working to capture b-roll of galleries, performances, and events. She spearheaded and developed two series, Contemporary Nostalgia and In The Studio with Zoe Hertzberg.  

Zoe has worked with East West Player, as well as several other brands creating social media content and microfilms. She is the primary video and marketing desginer for fieldnotes company. Zoe continues to persue documentation and connection through video and is avaible for freelance. 


CONTEMPORARY NOSTALGIA 


Contemporary Nostalgia is a video series Zoe developed for CalArts focuing on capturing student lifestyle. Zoe shot and edited two seasons of the show with a total of 15 episodes.  The show debuted on @calarts on Instagram to 55.9k followers and was one of the most sucessful campaigns published that year. 



IN THE STUDIO WITH ZOE HERTZBERG

In spring of 2025 Zoe worked with CalArts to design her second series, In the Studio with Zoe Hertzberg, a comedic interview series interviewing current students. Zoe works as a freelance editor for CalArts and her work can be seen on their Instagram

 


FREELANCE @ EAST WEST PLAYERS 


East West Player is the largest and longest running Asian American theater in the nation. Zoe worked to create an interview series with the actors for their production of Philip Kan Gotanda‘s Yankee Dawg You Die in 2025. She is currently working with the team to create and develop material for the new Flower and Drum Song which will premire in the spring with a revised script by David Henry Hwang, music and lyrics by Rodgers and Hammerstein. 

                         



CHACHA MOVES TO NEW YORK! 


A mixed media piece documenting a friends last birthday party in LA before she moves to New York to persue her acting dreams. 



OUR APARTMENT  


Zoe enjoyes making videos to caputre mundane life, which may be her greatest inspiration. This interview based video explores college seniors going back to school for maybe the last time ever and their advice on the topic.
